National Vegetable Society Class H3: Master Gardener Competition

This class will comprise of four elements and must be exhibited in a space not exceeding 76cm x 76cm.
•One vase of flowers from:
9 sweet peas, 2 gladioli, 3 dahlia, 3 chrysanthemum or 9 annuals (any variety or varieties)


•One flowering pot plant (maximum pot size 20cm)
•One dish of fruit (numbers as per NVS guidelines, see note*)
•One dish of vegetables (numbers as per NVS guidelines, see note*)

 

* All collections will be judged in accordance with the rules published in the NVS guidelines.
The list on page 13 of the schedule which can be downloaded here, shows the number of specimens to be staged and the maximum points that can be awarded for a selection of the most common fruit and vegetables. Other fruit and vegetables not shown on the list may be exhibited but must be in accordance with NVS guidance.

Judging of Vegetables and fruit, including the Plot to Plate class will use the National Vegetable Society pointing system.

The Frank Geer Cup will be awarded to the winner of this class.
