Dogs

GENERAL RULES:

Dogs are allowed on the show ground but should be kept on a lead at all times.
Dogs are not permitted in any of the livestock tents.
Please do not leave dogs in cars.

The Edenbridge & Oxted  Retriever Competition. (An invitation Working Gundog Competition featuring 12 Open standard retrievers)

Competition starts at 10.00am (3 sessions during the day)

Demonstrations (during intervals and at the end of competition.

Presentation of awards (after final demonstration)

Gundog Clinic (experienced handlers and trainers will be on hand thrughout the day to answer questions and offer advice)

The ever popular dog show is held on the Monday of the show, entries are taken from 9.00 a.m. and judging commences at 12.30 p.m.
Any one dog owner can enter, there are classes for pedigrees and crossbreeds.

TERRIER RACING

MONDAY 30th AUGUST

The ever popular terrier Racing takes place during Monday afternoon of the show. Entries can be made on the day.
It is a great spectator attraction.

Terrier Racing will commence at 3.00 p.m.
All entries for Terrier Racing will be taken ON THE FIELD
from 1.30 p.m. onwards
Entry Fee: £1.50
Each dog may only be entered in one race
There will be two Sections - Long Legged and Short Legged
The winner of the Long Legged Section will receive
a Galloway Challenge Cup (ref. D121)
Heat Winners will receive a Rosette
Prizes in the two final Races will be as follows:
1st - £10.00; 2nd - £8.00; 3rd - £6.00; 4th - £4.00

 RULES

1. Entrants confined to Working Type Terriers      
2. Any dispute will be settled by Trapman or Judge      
3. Only one heat per Terrier unless we are short of entries.      
4. If there is any breakdown in equipment, the Race will be re-run.      
5. First Terrier in a Race goes forward to the next round.      
6. Height (measured to top of shoulder) -      Short Legged - maximum 12" Long Legged - maximum 16"     
7. No encouragement from the owners will be allowed whilst Race is in progress.      
8. All Dogs must be kept on leads except those taking part in a Race.      
9.All Terriers must be ready to enter traps when race number is shown and called.
