Thanks to the most generous sponsorship of Mr. Martin Lovegrove (Show President 2007-2008) the show welcomed the amazing JCB Dancing Diggers into the main ring. The crowds watched the machines and operators being tested to their limit, performing dare devil stunts and formation dancing.
The show saw the welcome return of the livestock section, with more than 650 cattle entered. The grand Cattle parade on the Monday afternoon of the show was as usual a highlight to the main ring programme. The show also saw the introduction of Pig classes back at the show after years of absence, these proved a huge success.
The Coaching/ 4 in hand class again proved to be a big crowd pleaser, when they entered the main ring after their road drive, the show attracts a large number of entries to this class, something we are very proud of.
The winner of the prestigous Winston Churchill Memorial Trophy. Awarded by the President to the best exhibit in the show, was won by Claire Stockdale of Bertie's Rare Breed Pigs.
