HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

The Edenbridge & Oxted Agricultural Show acknowledges its obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999.  It recognises the importance of Health and Safety in the successful operation of its activities and encourages the active involvement of every employee & volunteer, in order to achieve and maintain the highest practicable standard of Health and Safety during set up and break down of the Show & during the Show Opening Hours.

 It is the Show Organisers intention to safeguard the Health, Safety and Welfare of its employees/volunteers and members of public, by providing awareness & information and if applicable, Personal Protective Equipment as well as correctly maintained vehicles and equipment.

 It is also the Show’s intention to safeguard the Health and Safety of all persons who come into proximity of the work we carry out and the exhibits & display we put on for the publics enjoyment.

 The Show’s organisation and arrangements for the promotion of Health and Safety are designed to satisfy our particular & specific needs and to ensure compliance with the already established and accepted codes of practice, which are managed and owned within the many affiliated clubs/associations that are represented at the show.

 The Health and Safety Policy Manual will be revised as often as may be necessary to take into consideration changes or additions to statutory safety requirements or modifications to our operating procedures. It will be reviewed on an annual basis.

 The Show carries out its commitment for Health and Safety through the responsibilities of all employees/volunteers.

 The overall responsibility for compliance with the Edenbridge & Oxted Agricultural Show’s Health and Safety Policy rests with the Chairman.
