Perfect performances on BBC1

See behind the scenes at our show with The Farmer’s Country Showdown.

Sit down with a cuppa and get a competitor’s eye view of our show by watching these fabulous programmes from BBC1. We were thrilled to welcome the production team for The Farmer’s Country Showdown to our 2022 show where they followed the fortunes of four farming families in the show ring.

Watch James and Louisa Edgar from Park Farm, Brasted (http://www.parkfarmbrasted.co.uk/)  prepare for their first ever show with their Jersey cattle, and see goat competitor Jill shepherd her occasionally reluctant goats into the ring for their big moment!

In the second episode, young pig farmer Gussie Harmer and her family who farm together at Offham Farm near Lewes (https://www.offhamfarm.co.uk/) are seen preparing her Welsh pigs for stardom. Then Amy and Hayley Edmonds (https://www.facebook.com/AandHEdmondsandSons) from Headcorn bring their Zwartbles and Welsh Badger Face sheep to compete against 1,000 others in the largest gathering of its kind in the south east.

There’s beautiful footage that really gets behind the spirit of what our show offers and what it means to competitors and visitors alike. A HUGE thank you from our team to those farmers who featured and to all our judges and stewards who do so much to facilitate the filming during two very busy days.
